Additional Information

Endolift is a minimally invasive laser-based treatment manufactured by leading laser experts Eufoton®, and utilises the LASEmaR® 1500 device. It is a certified and FDA-approved laser treatment, designed to stimulate the deep layers of the skin with the cosmetic aim of skin tightening, lifting and facial contouring.

The wavelength of LASEmaR® 1500 is specifically designed to selectively target the two main components in the human body: water and fat. Firstly, laser energy is administered via an ultra-thin fibreoptic wire passed under the skin just like a needle, with no incisions required. As a result, this process tightens the skin and activates the skin’s production of new collagen to create a firmer, softer skin appearance . Additionally, Endolift can be used to target facial fat melting where necessary to create a slimmer, lighter lower face appearance.

The majority of patients only require one session of Endolift treatment. The results usually last 2-3 years and can then be repeated, if desired, to renew the cosmetic effects.

The combination of skin tightening, texture improvement and selective fat reduction creates a remarkable lifted, contoured and toned effect to the mid and lower face. The collagen stimulating effects of Endolift significantly improves skin texture and tightness.

Most of our patients undergo ‘full face’ Endolift treatment, which includes treatment of the cheeks, jawline, jowls, under chin and upper neck. However, some patients who are only concerned with reducing fullness related to fat volume around the jawline and under the chin can opt for more focussed treatments in these regions. Additionally, Endolift can be used to treat puffiness in the under eye malar region, commonly referred to as ‘malar bags’ or ‘festoons’. We also offer Endolift body treatments, specifically for abdominal, knee and under arm skin tighte

Immediately after treatment, the treated areas of skin will appear red. Skin redness usually resolves the following day. In the first 4-6 days, there is gradual development of swelling. In nearly all patients, this is of mild-moderate severity. Swelling is expected and normal (as discussed at your consultation), and usually peaks by day 5-6. By 10-14 days post-procedure, visible swelling disappears in nearly all patients with full return to social activities. Many of our patients choose to work from home for the first 3-4 days after treatment for this reason. Visit our dedicated Endolift aftercare page for further information.

The results of Endolift generally last several years (approximately 3 years for an average patient treated at Bayati Clinic). Therefore, the treatment does not usually require repeating for 2-3 years. However, depending on facial anatomy and tissue structure, some patients with more pronounced fat volume (e.g. double chin) or skin laxity may be recommended a repeat Endolift treatment after 6-12 months in order to build on their result.

Swelling is a normal post-procedure event, and tends to be mild-moderate in severity. This gradually increases over the first 4-6 days after treatment, and then begins to improve in the second week after treatment. The majority of patients feel ready for social interactions by 9-12 days. Furthermore, visit our dedicated Endolift aftercare page for further information.

All medical cosmetic treatments carry some risks and Dr Bayati will discuss the specific risks related to Endolift at your consultation. Post-procedure swelling and numbness in treated areas is normal, temporary and part of the healing process. A rare, but well-documented, complication involves inflammation to a nerve that stimulates the lip muscles. Consequently, if this occurs this may cause temporary weakness in the lower lip during smiling, (producing a lip smile asymmetry). However, this usually fully resolves between 6-12 weeks. Furthermore, Dr Bayati, as a highly experienced Endolift clinician, has a complication rate of 0.8% and is able to manage this should it occur. His opinion is often sought by other clinicians experiencing an Endolift complication.
